Six golfers. Four counting scores.

Suppose your golfers finish with adjusted scores of −8, −5, −2, +1, +6 and +10. “Adjusted” means any applicable cut or withdrawal penalties are already included.

−8 − 5 − 2 + 1 = −14
All six
−14 + 6 + 10 = +2

Lower totals win in stroke play. Best-four scoring leaves out two scores; all-six scoring makes every selection count. Prize-money scoring is different: every golfer’s earnings count and higher totals win.

Questions before you invite the group

What is a golf pool?
A golf pool is a group competition in which members select golfers and compare their results during a tournament. In Clubpicks, members choose a tier or salary-cap roster, and the pool applies the commissioner’s scoring rules. Compare single pools and season leagues.
Can two members choose the same golfer?
Yes. Tier and salary-cap selections are not exclusive. In a tier pool, each member meets the pick requirements within each tier; in salary cap, each roster must fit the budget and meet the minimum pick count. See format examples.
When do picks lock?
Picks lock at the event’s first tee time, not at each selected golfer’s start. Check the displayed pool deadline and its time zone, then confirm your team is submitted before lock. Follow the setup and submission checklist.
What happens if a golfer misses the cut or withdraws?
In stroke scoring, the pool’s settings determine the penalty for missed or incomplete rounds. The recommended fixed +8 is per missed round, not a single penalty for the whole event. Read cut, withdrawal and counting-score examples.
Are live scores final?
No. Tournament data and prize-money projections may change during play. Clubpicks updates scores automatically, but delays and corrections are possible. Treat standings as provisional until the event is finalized.
What does Clubpicks cost?
A single tournament pool is $8 USD. A Season Pass is $20 USD for 365 days and includes unlimited pools. League creation is free; inviting league members requires the commissioner’s Season Pass. Invited members join free. Compare plans.
Does Clubpicks collect entry stakes or pay prizes?
No. Software fees pay for using Clubpicks, not a stake in a contest. Clubpicks does not collect or distribute pool stakes or prizes. Prize-money scoring uses golfers’ tournament earnings as the scoring measure, not a payout to members.
